Contact Find: Version 1.1.1 is out

The new version 1.1.1 of my Contact Find application is available in the App Store now.

It fixes the annoying bug of version 1.1 that results for phones, emails and addresses didn't show up when you did a search all.

Compared to the old 1.0 version it adds several long awaited features:

• Much faster startup because the contacts only have to be imported once and are cahced afterwards


• Faster search


• Search for several keywords. It finds the contacts which contain all of them


• Explicit search for job, department and company field


• Newlines in the notes field are preserved

Today I submitted the new version 1.1 of my Contact Find application which is available in the App Store.

It adds several long awaited features:

Yes, you can. Please see the screenshot. Contact Find makes it easy to find all your contacts with any phrase somewhere in the notes field.

Contact Find: Crash fixed

I uploaded a new version of Contact Find to Apple which should be available in the App Store soon. It fixes the crashes which a few users experienced on application startup. Thanks for your patience.

In addition (as you can see in the screenshot) I increased the fonts in the search box a little bit to make it easier to use.

Now I work on the next version which will remove the long delay of the startup phase. The import of the contacts will only have to be done once and then it will be cached. I still have a few seats left for a beta test, please let me know if you want to take part.

New: Thesaurus in the iPhone App Store

With Thesaurus you can retrieve the synonym for every word. If available you will get antonyms, related terms, similar word and user suggestions too. Tap one of the results to start a quick new search for that term. It keeps a history list of your search terms as well.

New iPhone Project: Map Mailer

This applications makes it easy to send any Google Maps location via email. You can use it to show to others where you are, where to meet, places you like or you would like to go.

Just select the location on the map. Enter subject and text press send. The application automatically appends a link to Google Maps with your selection to your email. So the receiver only has to click it to see your location, whether on the iPhone or the desktop computer.

This is just another RSS news feed reader especially optimized to read full text feeds like an eBook. It has an autoscroll feature to make reading long text as easy as possible without the need to scroll manually. You can jump quickly between the different articles.

In order to add feeds quickly it has built in feed search. Just type in the search keywords (e.g. news, sports, lifestyle, finance, games, ...) or the URL of a feed or the URL of the web site it is published.
