Distance - New app for iPhone, iPad and the WWW
Find the distance and direction between any two places on earth.
Features:
- it calculates the shortest distance (on an orthodrome) or the distance with constant bearing (rhumb line or loxodrome) which you would follow by using a compass.
- you can select your current location, enter the latitude/longitude coordinates or select from a location from the GeoNames database.
- the bearing is visualized on a compass rose.

Do you want to go sailing, windsurfing, biking or just out of the door? This application shows the current local outdoor wind speed (in beaufort, mph and km/h) and direction, measured by a nearby weather station for which it uses your current location.

- the direction of the wind is shown on a live compass
- The wind is automatically updated every hour
- The location is automatically updated when you move more than 5 miles/10km

Speed - New app for iPhone and iPad
This application turns your device into a speedometer and accelerometer. By assigning background colors to speed ranges you can see from the corner of the eye how fast you e.g. to avoid speeding.

- The acceleration is color coded with a red background as well
- Tap the small speed to toggle between mph and km/h

My Position HD - for the iPad
Quickly see where and how high you are on earth. If you define a target you can see how far you still have to go and in which direction. It uses the a constant angle on a so called rhumb line or loxodrome, so it is not necessary to constantly adjust your bearing (as you would have to on the shortest path on a orthodrome)
This application is intended for a quick lookup without tracking your position in the background in order to save battery power. It works completely offline and can be safely used while roaming.

New in the App Store: Speed Limit
Check your speed and get warned if you drive faster than the speed limit to avoid speed tickets. Supports metric km/h and imperial mph speeds. There is an optional warning sound if your are speeding (with an adjustable tolerance).
