This loan & mortgage calculator helps to find out how much you will have to pay monthly for a mortgage or a loan with a fixed interest rate.

You can calculate any value in the loan equations, so that you can find out how many years you need pay for a given rate or how much you can get for a fixed term and monthly rate. This is perfect for doing "what-if" analysis.

Contact Find: Version 1.1 submitted

Today I submitted the new version 1.1 of my Contact Find application which is available in the App Store.

It adds several long awaited features:

• Much faster startup because the contacts only have to be imported once and are cahced afterwards


• Faster search


• Search for several keywords. It finds the contacts which contain all of them


• Explicit search for job, department and company field


• Newlines in the notes field are preserved

Contact Find: Version 1.0.13 is out

As promised the new version of Contact Find is available in the App Store. It fixes the crashes which a few users experienced on application startup. In addition (as you can see in the screenshot) I increased the fonts in the search box a little bit to make it easier to use.

New iPhone WebApp: Savings Calculator

This savings calculator helps to find out how much interest you will get when you invest your money over a given period of time with a fixed interest rate. It calculates the compound interest which means it assumes you reinvest the interest after each year (or just leave it in the bank account). So you will profit from the interest you earn on interest you already got.

You can calculate any value in the interest equations, so that you can find out how much interest rate or how many years are necessary to reach a certain goal. As well you can find out how much money you need to start with. This is perfect for doing "what-if" analysis.

The Apple App Store has a new update to my Contact Mailer application for the iPhone which fixes occasional crashes.

New: Football in the iPhone App Store

New: Speedy Mail in the App Store

Create email templates and send them quickly. Makes it fast to send your standard messages around.

New: Contact Mailer in the App Store

Create an email with the details of one of your contacts from your address book:

• Select the contact.


• Choose the contact details you want to send.


• Press the Create email button which opens the email application where you can choose the receiver and finalize the subject and body text.

Contact Find FAQ: Can I search the Notes field?

Yes, you can. Please see the screenshot. Contact Find makes it easy to find all your contacts with any phrase somewhere in the notes field.

Contact Find: Crash fixed

I uploaded a new version of Contact Find to Apple which should be available in the App Store soon. It fixes the crashes which a few users experienced on application startup. Thanks for your patience.

In addition (as you can see in the screenshot) I increased the fonts in the search box a little bit to make it easier to use.

Now I work on the next version which will remove the long delay of the startup phase. The import of the contacts will only have to be done once and then it will be cached. I still have a few seats left for a beta test, please let me know if you want to take part.
